Shabbat Shalom: Friday Wrap-up (5/31/2013)

Easy Joe Flacco really has nothing to worry about, even though people can't stop talking about Tom Brady's new deal.
Easy Joe Flacco may have not been so calm when addressing his agent for the comments he made this week.

This week’s Friday Wrap-up is heavy on Joe Flacco’s agent, Joe Linta, who publicly called the Baltimore Ravens “dumb”.  This is probably my favorite time of the year, especially in recent past with the Miami Heat dominating the NBA.  Last night’s game was a blast to witness in person.  This week on FORBES: (1) Music Streaming Service Supplies Upbeat Playlists For The Fitness Freak; (2) Pacers And Racers: Indy 500 And Indiana Pacers Promote Each Other On Big Day For Indianapolis; and (3) Mobile App Connects Sports Fans In The Crowd And On The Couch.  And as always, the weekly wrap-up:

Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession.
