Murray State’s record-setting wide receiver, Walter Powell, has solidified who will be representing him as he transitions from college to preparing for the 2014 NFL Draft.

Last week, Powell signed with Symmetry Reps and agents Mook Williams/Brian McLaughlin.

“Really excited about Murray State WR Walter Powell (?@SpeedKillz9) joining the ?#symmetryteam!  Dynamic player with a bright future,” McLaughlin tweeted this past weekend.

The St. Louis, Mo. native finished his 2013 campaign with 66 catches for 837 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games.  Powell will graduate as the Racers all-time leader in touchdowns (29), receiving yards (2,650), and 100-yard games (10).  He recently accepted an offer to play in January’s 2014 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Los Angeles.

A dual-threat wide receiver/return specialist, Powell was just one of two players at the FCS level this year to return both a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown.

He recently finished 17th in the voting for the 2013 Walter Payton Award, an annual award given to the most outstanding offensive player in Division-I FCS.
