Tom Santanello — a Florida-based agent with Elevate Football — is slowly racking up the client list.  With already a few University of Florida players added to his roster, Santanello just signed redshirt junior UConn LB Yawin Smallwood as well.

NFLDraftScout.com ranks Smallwood as the No. 6 rated ILB in the 2014 NFL Draft; the Worcester, Mass. native is projected to go in rounds 3-4.

During his redshirt junior season at UConn, Smallwood grabbed 118 tackles (51 solo), four sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception in 12 games.  For his play in 2013, Smallwood received UConn Defensive Player of the Year honors in addition to being named Big East First Team All-Conference.  Smallwood finished his UConn career with 332 tackles, 9.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and two interceptions.

Though it’s still very early in the signing process, Santanello may be the agent to watch out for in 2014 — even with the Draft five months away.
