On the eve of her first round match at Wimbledon, rising star Genie Bouchard announced an endorsement deal with Coca-Cola. The partnership will run for three years, with financial terms not being disclosed.
Under the deal, Bouchard will market Coke and and Diet Coke products in her home country of Canada. Her image will be used in retail outlets, advertising campaigns and experiential events.
“Genie brings something extra special to the table. She is not only an incredibly talented tennis player but her down to earth style makes it so easy for people to relate to her. Her demeanour both on and off the court embodies happiness and active, healthy living; and because of this, she is truly is an inspiration to Canadians and a perfect fit for our company.” Michael Samoszewski, vice president of Coca-Cola’s sparkling business unit said of the deal.
The 20 year-old has enjoyed a successful 2014, which has seen her reach the semi-finals of both the Australian and French Opens. She currently has endorsement deals with Nike, Babolat, Pinty’s, TournaGrip, Rogers and Usana Health Services. She is represented by Lagardère Unlimited.
