What The Pros Are Using

The following is a guest contribution from Ashley Harter. Ashley Harter graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in English with plans to attend law school. An avid fitness lover, Ashley is a personal trainer and enjoys attending sporting events like SEC football games and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.

Like any sport, baseball is a game where the type of equipment you’re using matters. If anyone knows the best equipment to use to perform most successfully at game time, it would of course be the MLB Players. While their extreme athleticism and talent seriously aids them in their game, the right equipment can make all the difference. The following items help the pros execute when it comes to game-time.

  1. Wilson Baseball Mitts. In the past, it has been unclear about which company holds the top spot for baseball mitts. But with the introduction of the 2015 A2K and A2000 mitts, it is clear who the top dog is. Wilson has a history of making the highest end glove in order to mimic exactly what the pros are using. The Red’s second base player Brandon Phillips uses the A2K in order to improve his game. Phillips trusts in the Wilson name through his game. With the special logo featuring his initials and the multicolor design, this glove is sure to be a top seller. Even though this glove is popular between the pros, the A2000 takes an even higher top spot in the MLB. There are options to build your own A2000 glove or use one like shortstop Hanley Ramirez counts on.
  1. Louisville Slugger Bats. This bat definitely takes the top spot on the lists of bats used in the MLB. Players rely on the wood bat’s top quality and reliability. The pros that use this bat range from the Atlanta Braves outfielder Justin Upton to third baseman of the Kansas City Royals, Alex Gordon. With 20.25% of the pros using the bat, there’s proof that it is the number one in the game.
  1. Oakley Sunglasses. Even though it doesn’t seem that sunglasses would make a difference in playing the game, many baseball pros utilize sunglasses to improve their game. Not only does wearing sunglasses block out the glare of the sun on the ball for better viewing, but they also protect an important part of the body for a baseball player: the eyes. For these baseball stars, it is important that the sunglasses they wear have a three point grip on them so they do not slide off during a game. Also, it’s important that the sunglasses don’t have anything that could get in the way of seeing the ball. Therefore, the eyewear needs to be rimless for the best viewing. Many pros choose Oakley because they are constantly upping their game while meeting the standards of what they need. With interchangeable lenses and a nice fit, Oakley has become the leading brand of sunglasses for the pros.

Between gloves, bats, and sunglasses, the brands that the pros use have been tested and tried throughout their games and have proven to be the leading brands for efficiency and helpfulness to the game. When looking for baseball equipment, it is important to remember these brands and what makes them the top dogs.

Once you’ve garnered the right equipment, Step 2 in taking your game to the next level is to find an expert personal trainer who has the knowledge and understanding to intensify your workout, elevating your muscular endurance and athletic ability. More info about finding the best personal trainer for you can be found just by doing research. You want to make sure the personal trainer you are using can help you achieve your fitness goals and also make you feel comfortable in the process too. As much as you want to start your routine, knowing that you have someone you trust by your side can make all the difference. If you really wanted to, you could even consider learning how to become a personal trainer. You can train yourself to help you make the progress you want to, then pass on all you’ve learned to other people to help them achieve their goals.

But obviously the hardest thing is making sure that you keep up with your training. Getting a good level of fitness is not an impossible task, but it can be harder for some people compared to others. This is why many people will make use of trainers, others will just be happy to use a Fitbit to help them keep on top of their fitness levels (you can find out more information about this at Mobile Mob). So as you can see, there are plenty of things that you need to think about to make sure that you succeed. At the end of the day, the only thing that you need to worry about is that you do all that you can to help make sure that your fitness regime works for you. There’s no point in doing something if there is little benefit in helping improve your fitness levels.
