Over halfway through the 2014 NFL season, and San Francisco 49ers defensive back, Perrish Cox, has changed representation according to Rand Getlin, an NFL Insider with Yahoo! Sports.  The 27-year-old Cox is now represented by California-based, Athletes First and NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, David Mulugheta.  Cox was formerly represented by Jordan Woy of Willis and Woy Sports Group in Dallas.

Cox will be a free agent after the current season, so the agent switch shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise.  The former fifth round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2010 previously played with the 49ers (2012-13) and Seattle Seahawks (2013) before re-resigning with San Francisco last December.  In his five-year career, the Waco, Texas native has 123 tackles, two forced fumbles and five interceptions.

Athletes First is tied at No. 8 for the world’s most valuable sports agency, with clients like the Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers, Seattle Seahawks Earl Thomas and the Denver Broncos Wes Welker.
