Per a Tweet by our own Darren Heitner, wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has left Roc Nation Sports after joining the agency just over a year ago. Nicks has decided to return to his previous agent, Peter Schaffer of Authentic Athletix.
Originally drafted out of North Carolina by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, he has also played for the Indianapolis Colts. He has played in 86 games in his 6 year career, amassing 349 receptions for 5,027 yards and 31 touchdowns. He is currently a free agent.
Peter Schaffer has been a certified NFL agent for more than 25 years and negotiated more than a billion dollars worth of contracts. He established Authentic Athletix in 2011 and represents a number of NFL, MLB, golf, coaching and entertainment clients. Schaffer will also be one of 4 agents starring in the Esquire Network’s series “The Agent” premiering in July 2015.
