The Legacy Agency (TLA) has signed Georgia State Star R.J. Hunter to a representation agreement. TLA will handle all off-the-court endeavors for Hunter, including marketing, endorsements, licensing and merchandising, speaking engagements, and appearances. Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports & Entertainment will serve as Hunter’s NBA Agent and negotiate his NBA contract.
Hunter is a two-time AP Honorable Mention All-American, the 6-foot-5 Hunter averaged 19.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists this past season and leaves Georgia State as the school’s all-time leading scorer and two-time Sun Belt men’s conference player of the year. He hit the game-winning shot to beat Baylor University in the Bulldogs’ opening game of the NCAA tournament, and finished with 20 points in their loss to Xavier in the round of 32. He is projected as a mid-to late first round pick in June’s NBA Draft.
“There is no doubt the story of R.J. and his dad Ron was one of the transcendent stories of March Madness, and we think his potential goes way beyond his outstanding work on the court,” said Peter Raskin, Partner The Legacy Agency, who will personally lead the representation team for Hunter. “He is a quality person who will resonate with brands way beyond the traditional, and we are looking forward to working with him and his family going forward.”
“We are very pleased to be working with The Legacy Agency,” Hunter said. “Their track record of building out a well-rounded platform of business opportunities for the athletes and coaches they represent is well documented, and gives me the peace of mind so that I can concentrate on making myself the best basketball player I can be for this next stage of my career.”
