Tennessee Titans QB, Zach Mettenberger, has signed with Tom Condon and Jimmy Sexton of CAA for his representation, according to a Tweet by Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. This comes after Mettenberger parted ways with his former agent Joe Linta of JL Sports. Linta made some highly publicized remarks to ESPNs Chris Mortensen demanding the Titans trade Mettenberger after they drafted QB Marcus Mariota with the 2nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. According to Wyatt, however, those remarks were not the cause of Mettenberger’s switch to CAA. Instead, Wyatt tweeted that this decision is likely the result of Mettenberger’s close relationship with Titans OL Taylor Lewan, who is also represented by CAA’s Tom Condon.

The 6’5″, 224 lb quarterback is entering his second season in the NFL after being drafted by the Titans in the 6th round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Last year, Mettenberger played in 7 games (6 starts) and completed 59.8% of his passes (107 out of 179) for 1412 yards with 8 TDs and 7 INTs.
