Roc Nation Sports has signed World Cup Champion Jerome Boateng to its roster. Boateng and his management company SAM Sports signed an exclusive promotional agreement with Roc Nation Sports earning him the position as premiere professional football athlete for the agency.

Boateng is a German soccer player currently playing as a defender for Bayern Munich and Germany’s national football team. He is the son of a Ghanaian immigrant father and a German mother, Boateng’s early football practices took place in a bad neighborhood in Berlin. Boateng worked hard to make his dreams became reality, winning titles at every level of the sport including the World Cup, FA Cup (England) Bundesliga Championship (Germany), German Cup and Champions League.

Boateng began his career with the Tennis Borussia Berlin youth team. In 2002, he joined Hertha Berlin SC where he emerged from the youth team to the main team winning a call-up to the first team squad in 2007. Following his involvement with Hertha Berlin SC, Boateng signed for Hamburg SV where he played a prominent role in Hamburg’s two consecutive reaches for the Europa League semi-finals (2008-2009). In 2010, Boateng earned his place at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and Manchester City verified his relocation to the English club where he signed a five-year deal and sported his favorite No. 17. In his one season with Manchester City, Boateng won the 2010-11 FA Cup.

In June of 2011, Bayern Munich expressed a desire for Boeteng to play in Munich. Since joining Bayern, the club has awarded Boateng with domestic and European honors – notably the Continental Treble in the 2012-13 season. More recently, Boateng played a vital role in his country’s 2014 World Cup win and was arguably the most outstanding player in the World Cup Final against Lionel Messi and Argentina.

Boateng is the first soccer player to be added to Roc Nation Sports clientele.
