On To The Next One: Emmanuel Mudiay and Bruno Cabocio

Per a Tweet by Marc Spears, Wasserman has signed Denver Nuggets guard Emmanuel Mudiay and Toronto Raptors forward Bruno Caboclo where they will be represented by a team of agents led by BJ Armstrong.

Prior to this move, Mudiay was represented by Rival Sports Group. The 6’5″, 200 pound native of the Congo was the 7th overall pick by Denver in the 2015 NBA Draft. He went to high school in Texas and committed to play college basketball for Southern Methodist University under coach Larry Brown. However, he never stepped foot on campus, as he decided to forgo college and play in the Chinese Basketball Association before declaring for the NBA Draft. He became the second player in recent years to decide to play overseas instead of college, with Brandon Jennings being the first. Mudiay played in 68 games during his rookie season, averaging 12.8 PPG, 5.5 APG and 3.4 RPG. He will be eligible for a contract extension in the summer of 2018.

Caboclo was represented by Independent Sports Group before making the move to Wasserman. The 6’9″ Brazilian native was drafted 20th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by Toronto. Although he has registered two NBA seasons, he has spent the majority of his career in the D-League. The 20-year-old has logged minutes in 14 career NBA games over two NBA seasons, averaging 0.9 PPG, 0.1 APG, 0.3 RPG. However, in his 44 career D-League games he has averaged 12.9 PPG, 1.5 APG and 5.7 RPG. He is eligible for a contract extension next summer.
