According to Berk Communications, Roc Nation Sports has signed San Diego Chargers linebacker and former Gamecock star Melvin Ingram.
The 18th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Ingram is currently in his fifth season with the Chargers. Known for his athleticism and defensive tenacity, Ingram shined throughout the 2015 season, leading the Chargers with 10.5 sacks, 19 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and 29 quarterback hits. Through the first two games of the 2016 season, Ingram has recorded two sacks and a forced fumble. Hailing from the University of South Carolina, Ingram is a former consensus All-American.
Ingram is the ninth football player to join the Roc Nation Sports family, joining the likes of CJ Prosise, Dez Bryant, Geno Smith, Jaelen Strong, Ndamukong Suh, Ronnie Stanley, Todd Gurley and Victor Cruz. Ingram was previously represented by Athletes First.
