Penn State RB Saquon Barkley Signs With Roc Nation Sports

According to a Tweet from Darren Rovell, Penn State star and top running back prospect Saquon Barkley has signed with Roc Nation Sports for his representation in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Bronx-native is coming off an accolade-ridden 2017 season in Happy Valley, racking up many awards include the Paul Hornung Award (college football’s most versatile player), the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, and Penn State football team MVP among others. In each of his three seasons at Penn State he rushed for over 1,000 yards and averaged more than five yards per carry. In addition to his rushing stats, he reeled in 47 catches for 594 yards and three touchdowns this past season.

He leaves Penn State as the program’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns and career all-purpose yards. He was a consensus All-America selection as a junior, and became the only running back in Big Ten Conference history to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors twice (2016 and 2017).

Walter Football lists him as the first overall running back in the 2018 NFL Draft class, and one that is the strongest it has been in recent years. Additionally, NFLDraftScout ranks him as the first overall running back and a surefire first round pick.

With his signing, RNS made another splash in representing top running back prospects in recent years, having signed both Leonard Fournette (2017 first round pick) and Todd Gurley (2015 first round pick). His addition increases the RNS running back roster to four, joining Fournette, Gurley and Seahawks’ C.J. Prosise. He will be represented by Kim Miale.
