Wasserman Client’s Drafted Early And Often In 2018 MLS SuperDraft

Regardless of the sport it seems that Wasserman is always making moves to represent the best. They continued that trend in this year’s MLS SuperDraft. The culture-centric agency had three clients drafted in the top five picks and had another two clients drafted in the top fifteen. Wasserman client’s who will be joining MLS clubs this year were Joao Moutinho, Tomas Hilliard-Arce, Francis Atuahene, Mason Toye, and Jon Gallagher.

Being the newest expansion team, the Los Angeles Football Club held the first pick and selected Defender, Joao Moutinho. The Portugal native played one season with Akron and was named Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year. Wasserman didn’t have to wait long to see another client get their name called because the LA Galaxy drafted Stanford Defender Tomas Hilliard-Arce with the second overall pick.

FC Dallas acquired the fourth pick from Montreal in exchange for $200k in general allocation money. With that pick they selected Generation Adidas forward Francis Atuahene from Michigan. The 21 year-old scored a total of 24 goals in three seasons at Michigan and is expected to make an immediate impact for the club.

Minnesota United acquired the seventh pick from Montreal in exchange for $150k in targeted allocation money to pick Indiana Forward Mason Toye. Mason will forego his final three seasons at Indiana University after a decorated freshman season.

Atlanta United held the fourteenth pick and drafted Notre Dame forward Jon Gallagher. Gallagher is the first Irish player to be selected by the Atlanta United and is the 28th Notre Dame player drafted in the MLS Superdraft.
