Top rated running back and former Nittany Lions star Saquon Barkley has signed with Nike for his athletic shoes and apparel endorsement. The announcement was made via his social media channels (Twitter and Instagram).
A Roc Nation Sports signee, the deal was negotiated by Michael Yormark, President & Chief of Branding and Strategy for RNS. “Saquon is a generational talent – it’s only fitting that his apparel partner represents the same dedication to greatness,” Yormark said. “Our entire team at Roc Nation looks forward to working with Nike throughout Saquon’s NFL journey.”
A surefire top 10 pick in the NFL Draft, Barkley also wore Nike while at Penn State. Many mock drafts have him going number one overall to the Cleveland Browns. If this were to come to fruition, he would be the first running back selected first overall since Ki-Jana Carter in 1995 by the Cincinnati Bengals. Where did Carter play college ball?
