Former Indiana Track Star Sydney Anderson Launches Legacy Sports Management

Former Indiana track star Sydney Anderson always had a dream of starting her own agency and recently launched Legacy Sports Management. Growing up in an athletic family, she knew she wanted to work in sports. Her sister, Leslie Anderson, ran track and field at James Madison University and her brother, Brandon Anderson, played in the NFL for two seasons and the Arena Football League.

“Seeing the things my brother went through sparked my interest in the industry,” Anderson said.

Anderson graduated from Indiana University in 2017 where she competed on the track & field team. Upon receiving her degree in sports management and marketing, she worked for a sports marketing agency for the past two years.  Utilizing her player connections and knowledge of the industry, Anderson believed it was the perfect time to launch her own agency.

Anderson represents Alaina Coats, who was the second overall pick in the 2017 WNBA draft. Coats currently plays for the Atlanta Dream.

Anderson also represents Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi. Ogunjobi has 5.5 sacks this season, tying his career-high from last year.

“I’m hoping to help as many people as I can,” Anderson said. “I want to help athletes navigate through their careers and build their brands.”

Anderson is based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. You can follow her on Instagram @LegacySportsManagment for the latest on her newly launched agency.
