Excel Sports Management Launches Women’s Golf Division

Excel Sports Management has launched a women’s golf division which will compliment the agency’s existing men’s golf roster. In 2011, agent Mark Steinberg left IMG and partnered with Excel to establish its golf division.

Steinberg represents some of the best professional golfers in the world and his clients include Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, Justin Rose, Gary Woodland, and Matt Kuchar.

The new women’s golf division will be led by Kevin Hopkins and supported by a full team of experienced agents and marketing and communications professionals. Hopkins joined Excel in 2018 and has fifteen years of experience in the golf representation and event management space, serving as the Executive Director for multiple Major Championships on the LPGA calendar including the ANA Inspiration (2012-2019) and the U.S. Women’s Open (2017).

Excel added six women’s golfers to its newly established division: Bronte Law (pictured), Kristen Gillman, Jillian Hollis, Andrea Lee, Albane Valenzuela, and Sierra Brooks. Law won the 2019 Pure Silk Championship, her first victory on the LPGA Tour.

These golfers will join longtime client, Cheyenne Woods, to round out the group.

“We are excited to strengthen our overall golf roster with the launch of a dedicated women’s golf division,” Hopkins said. “Women’s golf is in a strong place right now with higher purses and more television hours than ever before, but there is still room for improvement to close the pay gap and showcase these young players to the world. Our team will work tirelessly to grow the brands and profiles of each of our clients and drive revenue for the next generation of stars.”
