Young Money has signed redshirt sophomore Christian Barmore from the University of Alabama where he will be represented by Nicole Lynn. Barmore will be joining his fellow teammate Deonte Brown, who signed with Young Money and Nicole Lynn as well.
The 6’5”, 315-pound, defensive lineman from Philadelphia, PA attended high school at Neumann Goretti. During his high school career, he was one of the top defensive linemen nationally. ESPN.com had Barmore rated as the No.10 player in the eastern region of the country and the number two player in the state. After redshirting as a true freshman at Alabama, he was named to the Freshman All-SEC team by the league coaches. He provided depth along the Alabama front, working in 12 games with one start. He totaled 26 tackles, including six for a loss, two sacks, five quarterback pressures, and two pass breakups.
Barmore was a disruptive force along the Crimson Tide defensive front this past season. He capped his Crimson Tide career with an accolade-ridden campaign, including being named a first-team All-American by CBS Sports, second-team All-America honoree by Pro Football Focus and USA Today, selected as a third-team All-American by the Associated Press, and earned first-team All-SEC honors from both the AP and the league coaches. Barmore recorded 32 tackles, including a team-high tying seven sacks. Barmore was the Defensive MVP of the 2021 CFP National Championship after tallying five total tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
