Rui Hachimura And Cannondale Announce Partnership

Washington Wizards Forward, Rui Hachimura has officially announced his partnership with Cannondale. Cannondale is a premium brand of Cycling Sports Group, a division of Dorel Industries. With a strong reputation for continuous innovation and quality, Cannondale is a global industry leader with a strong heritage in design, development and manufacturing of high-performance bicycles and accessories.

On May 11th, 2021 Rui officially announced that he will be teaming up with Cannondale to spread the joy and adventures he experienced on his bike as a kid. This summer Cannondale and Rui will bring their partnership to life through a series of activations starting with a chance to win a Cannondale Quick 4 and a personal ride alongside Rui.

Rui was born in Toyama, Japan and attended Mesei High School in Sendai, Japan. He later attended Gonzaga University and served as a key figure in the three years he played for the Bulldogs, he was named 2019 WCC Player of the Year and earned the Julius Erving Award. In June of 2019, Rui was selected in the first round (ninth overall) in the NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards, making him the first Japanese-born player to ever be selected in the first round. Since being drafted, Rui has gone on to be named NBA All-Rookie Second Team for the 2019-20 season.

From May 11th through June 30th fans in Japan can visit and enter for one of five chances to win the ride with Rui sweepstakes.
