Creative Artist Agency, CAA, has required ICM Partners, making this the biggest agency business acquisition since WMA and Endeavor. With the newfound partnership, CAA and ICM will dominate the sports representation space.
With CAA acquiring ICM Partners, it will reap the benefits of ICM ‘s former M&A’s as well. Last year, ICM Partners increased its global sports reach with the acquisition of Stellar Group, a London-based sports agency representing over 800 athletes focused heavily on soccer. Some of the clients from Steller Group include Welsh star Gareth Bale and the England National Team goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford.
Earlier this year, ICM also acquired NFL agency Select Sports Group, which will expand CAA’s already consistent No. 1 ranking football representation portfolio. Some high-profile clients include NFL players Kyler Murray, Taysom Hill, and Andy Dalton, along with Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry and Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
“The strategic combination of CAA and ICM bolsters our collective resources, expertise, and relationship to deliver even more opportunities for our world-class clients to build their careers and their brands across multiple disciplines and platforms in an evolving marketplace”, said CAA’s Bryan Lourd, Kevin Huvane, and Richard Lovett.
At this current moment, financial terms and price are still undisclosed.
