Vanguard Sports Group has opened their internship application for the Spring of 2022 semester (January – May). Internships are available in Football Operations, Brand Operations, Social and Digital Media, and Legal.

Football Operations:
Interns may assist individual agents and/or Director of Operations with day-to-day operations, including research for current clients, prospective recruits, and research projects including contract negotiation preparations and CBA/Salary Cap-related issues. Interns will gain an opportunity to learn more about the important internal functions necessary to an individual agent and agency’s overall success. Experience, knowledge, and/or interest in Excel, JavaScript, or other similar programs is a plus.
Brand Operations:
Interns will support staff with branding, marketing, and PR opportunities for both NFL and NIL clients, including research for new deals and execution of existing deals. Interns may have opportunities to pitch our clients for deals under the direction of the Brand Operations staff. Interns will gain a hands-on opportunity to practically engage in the world of athlete marketing in a controlled setting.
Sample marketing responsibilities may include creating marketing calendars, organizing client deliverables, copywriting, tracking the engagement and press results of current deals, helping create pitch decks or one-sheets, writing client bios, researching social media marketing trends, or creating social media content guides for clients.
Sample PR responsibilities may include journalist research, building contact lists, press release writing and distribution, story pitching, or helping to organize or schedule client interviews.
Social and Digital Media:
Interns will assist staff with the generation and creation of social, print, and video content for the company and individual clients designed to build audiences and generate engagement. Design experience with Photoshop and/or Premiere Pro is highly recommended. Active users of established and emerging social media apps with a knack for building an audience and measuring analytics are encouraged to apply. Interns will have an opportunity to pitch new content ideas for Vanguard’s existing clients and develop their professional content portfolios.
Legal (must be current law school students):
Interns will assist agents and staff with the preparation and review of various agreements, including representation, branding, marketing, and other agreements. Interns may also be asked to maintain and update various databases as they relate to state laws, including athlete agent laws and NIL regulations. Interns will gain valuable practical experience in both existing and emerging issues in sports and entertainment law.
