Week #2 at Wolfe Law Miami, P.A. was fantastic. I have been busy working on a healthy mix of transactional and litigation work in the entertainment, music, sports, and even internet (drafting a website purchase agreement) world. Dynasty is also in the process of signing its first soccer player. Today, I am finally moving my residence from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. I want to thank all the people who have been guest speakers thus far in the Sport Agency Management class I teach at Indiana University, so a big thanks to Josh Luchs, Gregg Clifton, Donald Dell, and Ben Sturner. This coming week, Jeremy Bloom will be the guest speaker. And the following week is Ralph Cindrich. Here are some stories I missed over the past week:
Basketball
- Wasserman Media Group is part of the mix [Pistons’ Brandon Knight wants to be healthy role model].
- I just like the fact that Glass is quoted saying, “”And as my ex-wives learned, I don’t go to court unless I know I’m going to win.” [Long-time agent Keith Glass urges NBA owners & players not to forget the fans].
- Does Stern treat the comment that he is “the master of spinning a story” as a compliment? [Top NBA agent Bartelstein blasts Stern for handling of lockout].
- Mark Bartelstein is really making the rounds [A Lot of Talk, but Few Stars Have Left the Country to Play].
- I never knew that the late Gary Wichard and Brian Bosworth were original inspirations for the movie [Cameron Crowe Talks ‘Jerry Maguire,’ Origins and Sequels].
- Robert London is the Vice President at Dow Lohnes Sports & Entertainment [Oakland Raiders Contact Rising Sports Agent to Fill Vacant GM Position].
- Possibility of a tennis union, a strike, plus a great run-down of the agencies running the show [The power behind the scenes: An overview of the agents shaping the future of tennis].
- Options include adding a national agent registry and sports counseling panel [NCAA considering new ways to deal with agents].

Is there anyway you can stream your guest speakers at IU?
I’d rather not. I want the students to feel like they are getting good value for the money they spend.
