This Shabbat Shalom Wrap-Up is brought to you one day earlier than usual. I am soon leaving Florida for Las Vegas to celebrate my step-brother’s bachelor party. I will not have access to a computer for the entire weekend, and thus submit to you the stories that I failed to cover during the week:
- Sports agent Arn Tellem, former NBA star BJ Armstrong, and NY Mets GM Omar Minaya have been training Israeli and Palestinian boys in basketball as part of a Middle East peace mission [Ex-NBA star spreads message of peace].
- Scott Boras has begun preparing for Rick Ankiel’s potential arbitration hearing. He is already comparing Ankiel to Babe Ruth [Ankiel, two others headed for arbitration?].
- It looks like Romeo Crennel will get a contract extension after all [Browns eye extension for Crennel, return for Anderson].
- Did Reggie Bush Turn His Final College Season into a Six-Figure Job? That’s what Don Yaeger looks to find out in his new book, Tarnished Heisman.
My interview with Florida Senator, Dave Aronberg, is the featured post of the week. Check it out on the right sidebar under Featured.
