My take
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Julio Jones was going to be a first round pick the day he stepped foot on Alabama’s campus. He is an absolute beast and has been compared to Terrell Owens, Michael Irvin, and Larry Fitzgerald by his on-field ability. Jones came out of high school with virtually every school in the country at his fingertips. After his three year career as a member of the Crimson Tide, we know a little bit more about him; he is tough as nails. Jones played through injuries throughout his career and only missed one game. He ran a 4.39 at the combine with a fractured foot, this tells you that he is a special breed of receiver that is not common in today’s game. He breaks tackles, goes across the middle, has very good hands, and a nasty stiff arm. This kind of speed, strength, and athleticism is rare and will cement his place in the top 10 picks in the draft. This is my favorite pair of top receivers coming out of college that I can remember, you can’t go wrong with either Jones or A.J. Green, both will be #1 receivers on the next level.
