As reported by Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Ben Dogra, Adrian Peterson’s agent, and Rob Brzezinski, Vikings VP of Football Operations, had a war of words last week in downtown Indianapolis. Sources near the situation confirmed that the verbal altercation took place in front of numerous outside parties. The two reportedly had to be separated by former Tampa Bay GM Mark Dominik who was able to prevent the situation from escalating further.
During the heated exchange, Dogra made it very clear that Adrian Peterson would never play for Minnesota again. Peterson is slated to make $13 million in 2015. Neither party has commented on the reported altercation.
Dogra, one of the most powerful agents in the NFL, recently became the Co-CEO of Relativity Sports’ football division. He joined Relativity after leaving CAA Sports in what was a messy breakup as he is dealing with pending litigation against his former company. In addition to Adrian Peterson, Dogra represents high-profile players such as Mario Williams and Patrick Willis. Peterson’s future team, and contract with them, will certainly be a focal point for Dogra and the 2015 NFL season.
