Matt Coleman III Signs with Beyond Athlete Management

Beyond Athlete Management has signed senior guard Matt Coleman III from the University of Texas. He will be represented by both Jordan Cornish and Daniel Poneman of Beyond Athlete Management.

The 6’2″, 180-pound guard is from Norfolk, VA where he attended Maury High School, and then later went on to attend Oak Hill Academy under Head Coach Steve Smith for his Junior and Season year. As a junior, Coleman led his team win the High School National title in 2016. He averaged 11.3 points, 7.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game as a senior, helping Oak Hill finish with a 38–4 record and was later named Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year. In 2016, he also went on to represent the United States at the 2016 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship, he averaged 7.8 PPG, 4.6 RPG, and 4.4 APG, leading his team to the gold medal. Coleman also participated in the Jordan Brand Classic and was ranked as a four-star recruit coming out of high with an offer from Duke, Stanford, Kanas, Texas, and several others.

At the completion of his senior season at the University of Texas, Coleman averaged 13.2 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 4.0 APG. Throughout his four years with the Longhorns Coleman has consistently led his team in assist every year. Coleman was named All- Big 12 3rd Team (2019-20), All- Big 12 3rd Team (2020-21) and most recently 2021 Big 12 Tournament MVP after leading he his team towards becoming Big 12 tournament champions.
