QC Sports Launches New Baseball Division

QC Sports is the sister company of Quality Control Music, a music agency founded in 2013 that has talent such as Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty and City Girls on their roster. In 2019, QC Sports was founded with immediate success in the NFL, where they signed 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Alvin Kamara and Detroit Lions rookie running back D’Andre Swift for all of their off the field management, branding and marketing.

The growth of QC Sports lead to an expansion into baseball, bringing 18-year veteran, and one of the few women of color representing in the league, MLB Agent Charisse Dash. Dash’s role will be Partner and Global Head of Baseball for the firm. Co-founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee said “partnering with a strong woman of color with the experience, credibility, proven track record and commitment to clients that Charisse has is perfectly aligned with the QC brand and what P and I have built.”

In 2020, Dash negotiated the highest contract extension in MLB history by a female agent of color for Chicago White Sox infielder Yoan Moncada. Of all the comparable contract signings when they had between two and three years of service time, only Mike Trout, Alex Bregman, and Buster Posey received a higher annual average value than the $14M Moncada will earn.

MLB Agent, Alex Cotto will also be joining Charisse Dash in the newly formed baseball division as Vice President of Baseball Operations. Dash and Cotto have over 30-plus years of experience, as well as respected reputations amongst players and front office personnel.  The QC Brand is quickly becoming as much of a household name in sports as it is in music.
